FREE 15 Minute Consultation Call

You start your journey with a free 15 minute consultation call with Vivian. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions or address concerns about therapy. If you feel comfortable, feel free to share what’s been going on for you and we can assist by finding the therapist that is the best fit for you.

Individual Therapy (Counselling / Social Work / Psychotherapy)

These are appointment(s) where you and your therapist will work on addressing your concerns. Each session is different depending on what’s going on for you. Think of this as your personal laboratory where you can bravely and safely try strategies and skills that you will continue to practice outside of therapy.

Student Therapy (Counselling / Social Work / Psychotherapy)

Being a post-secondary student has its unique challenges such as the transition from high school to post-secondary settings (leaving home and being in a new place, homesickness, not having friends or family around, and having to make new friends), concerns around graduation or “what’s next?”, and academic or financial stress.

Couples Therapy (Counselling / Social Work / Psychotherapy)

Couples sessions are helpful to learn the patterns in your relationship that keep you both feeling stuck, strategies to resolve your conflicts, and ways to understand each other. Couples sessions are helpful to learn the patterns in your relationship that keep you both feeling stuck, strategies to resolve your conflicts, and ways to understand each other.

Being able to consistently put aside time to work on your relationship with your therapist helps strengthen the skills you are learning to change the patterns in your relationship, build stronger communication, resolve conflict faster, and improve the overall quality of trust, intimacy, and closeness in your relationship.

Mo is a social worker with a therapy approach centered on collaboration. He believes that what matters most is how a client and therapist work together. He believes that a strong, trusting relationship is at the core of meaningful therapy. His role is to understand what you want from therapy and how to best support you.

As someone who grew up in different countries, he brings a broad perspective to understanding what impacts you. Rather than viewing individuals in a vacuum, he uses an approach that considers all the relationships in your life as well as the influence of systemic issues.

In his previous work as a lawyer, his clients often suffered the effects of structural inequalities that legal solutions alone couldn’t address. This led him to pursue social work, where he could focus on offering deeper support to individuals facing these challenges.

Mo draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). But ultimately, it’s not about the modality—it’s about what works best for you, the client.
